Knowing It All

31% Have a Heightened Understanding

 Many NDErs describe being given the answers to “everything” or the universe itself. It is most often described as if “downloaded” and assimilated in an instant — at the speed of light. If they have additional questions, they are answered before they are asked. There is often an “of course” moment, along with a sense this is a knowledge they had once possessed but forgotten. The knowledge, while they remain in this realm, now seems obvious, simple, and clear.

The question is, if their focus is on learning, what is it they are studying in the massive libraries often encountered in cities? As many NDErs describe having learned everything in their download, what is left to learn for those who have remained on the other side?

We are told the earth is a school in which suffering is often the greatest teacher. The test is whether can you learn the lessons, hold on to them, and LIVE them while you are here. There does not appear to be suffering in this other realm. What then, is their greatest teacher, or test, if they are to continue to grow in love and knowledge? This question is not asked by NDErs. If we have not learned this by now, we will likely never know.

In Shamanic cultures, one of the main reasons for undertaking soul journeys to the other world was to acquire knowledge (or recuse the soul of a person in danger of dying). It may be that the libraries people see are just their visual/conceptual representations of the general concept that the afterlife is a process of learning and a realm of the revelation of mysteries.

Recorded Accounts

I was allowed to have full knowledge and understanding. I remember that the awareness hit me with complete clarity and I thought, "Of course, it’s so obvious. Why are we all missing it?" Although not allowed to keep all the knowledge shown to me, there are two items I was allowed to keep: 1) In response to my question regarding religions of the world and which is the "true" religion, HE answered "Men come to me on many paths," and I had the complete understanding of the response, which is broader than the words can convey. The point is not religion, but faith. In response to my question about why we are here, He answered "To love one another." Again, the understanding and meaning of His answer is so much more than the words. We are each part of Him and by loving one another (and ourselves), we are in fact loving Him.⁠

I am sure about one thing: when I woke up I knew what a stupid thing I had done, and I never tried it again. NEVER COMMIT SUICIDE. YOU MUST WAIT UNTIL IT'S THE RIGHT TIME FOR YOU TO DIE. WE ARE ONLY HERE FOR A SHORT WHILE.

I'm no longer afraid of dying, although I am a little afraid of suffering. But my concern, above all, is that when I die, my loved ones down here will not be able to see me (just my body) and may think I have left them forever. If only those that I love would believe me when I tell them that we will see each other again over there.

There's no point in an individual trying to insist that other people believe things that they haven't seen for themselves. This is normal: they are the same as I am. Like everyone else, I only believe what I see.⁠ 

But I NOW believe the big picture cannot be grasped, except as through an NDE or some unusual mystical experience or extraordinary phenomenon. And even then, it can only be surmised or grasped in part.⁠
