Generalized Anxiety Disorder – GAD

As with social phobia, the DSM criteria for this disorder are highly dependent on defining “excessive” (“excessive anxiety and worry occurring more days than not for at least 6 months”) so that the diagnosis could easily be given to anyone highly sensitive, depending on the level of distress and impairment judged to be present.
